Air bleeding
Air within a central lubrication system can have a variety of causes (see “Troubleshooting”) – from the cartridge running empty to carelessness when refilling. In such cases, it is important to remove all air from the system to prevent interruptions in the lubricant supply and consequential damage. We therefore recommend venting the lubrication pump regularly, especially after replacing the cartridge. Here's how it works...

1.: Start the lubrication pump.

2.: Open the vent screw (on the front of the EGM 50TH) until grease comes out of the screw opening.

3.: As soon as the grease is dispensed without interruption (usually after 5-10 seconds), close the vent screw again.

4.: Done! The system is now vented.
